Lucas’ First Christmas

Lucas, Tien Bin and me
Christmas 2007 was the first Christmas for Lucas. We brought him to church as a tiger in disguise and he seems to be in pretty good mood that morning (right…). More than one person actually thought that we were holding a stuffed tiger toy!

All was nice and quiet during the service until Lucas decided that it was too silent and started wailing. He cried so loud and made such a lasting impression on the congregation that 2 weeks after Christmas service, I still have church members coming up to me commenting on his healthy pair of lungs. Mind you, church members that I’ve never spoken to before until then and I still don’t know their names either. Poor guy was tired (he normally takes his morning nap at 10am) and he was hungry as well. Unfortunately, that was also the time when the pastor was still preaching!

The angry tiger awakes!
Anyways, he went to sleep after awhile *phew*. After service, we had lunch at my parents, and then it was time to open up the presents! We tried to prop him under the Christmas tree but it proved to be tricky. So, we end up ‘tilting’ him under the tree…and as you can see, he was not too happy about it. Oh, we changed him out of his tiger costume because we wanted to save it for Christmas dinner later. Hehe.

I’m soooo cute!

Tigger with Antlers?!?

Where are my clothes!?!
Unlike in the morning, Lucas was very well behaved and entertaining during the Christmas dinner at home. Of course, he received his duly deserved oohs and aahs from relatives.
And check out his partner in crime, cousin Samuel, in his bumble bee costume. Aren’t they both just adorable?

We only opened our presents the next morning since everyone was too tired to do it after the dinner. But Lucas was sleeping through it all. Exciting eh…
And we wrapped up our Christmas with a family photo under our very own first Christmas tree. The tree is still standing in the living room… we are considering putting a plastic over it and keep it in the store so we can take it out as-is for Christmas 2008!

Don’t you dare touch my presents!

Our first very own Christmas Tree!

Thank you all for these lovely presents!
